ABOUT THE PEOPLE BEHIND PREMIER IT
James H. Lambert, Partner
In December of 1999, after more than 5 years of experience consulting and managing a consulting staff for another firm, Jim Lambert founded Premier IT, Inc. Premier IT currently has offices in 3 locations and is continuing to expand. Premier IT’s primary focus is on managing technology solutions for businesses, whether the necessity being complete outsourcing, project management, testing new technologies and training existing staff, or performing security audits. Jim’s expertise resides in his ability to work with businesses to implement and maintain new technologies while managing the costs efficiently. Individuals who have used his consulting services include Peter Norton, Jeff Berg (founder if ICM), Hugh Hefner (founder of Playboy), Ridley Scott (founder of Scott Free Productions and co-founder of RSA USA Inc.) and countless others in industries ranging from manufacturing and retail, to the entertainment industry, to the legal industry. In addition to running a consulting business, Jim also is a professor at the University of Southern California in the Information Technology Program at the USC School of Engineering. He also worked closely with the Director of the Information Technology Program, Dr. Anthony Borquez, to train existing professors to create new curriculum in Information Technology Security. Jim received his bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1993 at the University of Southern California.
Jarrod D. Koch, Partner
Jarrod Koch has been a partner and principal in Premier IT since May, 2002. Jarrod's primary focus is on managing technology solutions for businesses, whether the necessity being complete outsourcing, project management, testing new technologies and training existing staff, or performing security audits. Jarrod is currently responsible for all internal operations as well as scheduling, logistics and project execution of Premier IT’s clients. Prior to joining Premier IT, Jarrod had a proven track record from managing software development teams to project management and operations, and was aggressively recruited by several firms before deciding to join Premier IT. In 2002, Jarrod was a Senior Manager for Detto Technologies, a software development company. With Detto, Jarrod led a team that successfully developed an automated computer Migration Tool. The Washington Software Alliance rated it as the ‘Consumer Product of the Year’, PC Advisor as the ‘Best Software of the Year’, the Wall Street Journal as the Leading Software Migration Product and Macworld as the ‘Best of the Show’. The product is currently being distributed and used by Dell, IBM, Apple, Hewlett Packard, and Compaq. Other successfully lead projects include the Department of Finance for the State of California’s migration from Banyan Vines to Microsoft Windows, Stinson Mag & Fizzell's (A large multi-state Midwestern Law firm) migration from Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows, and Ampco System Parking’s implementation of a Wide Area Network that interconnected 7 corporate offices, as well as 2,500 remote dial in locations which were all connected to the central corporate office. In his spare time, Jarrod is a professor at the University of Southern California in the Information Technology Program at the USC School of Engineering. Jarrod received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1994. |
